Therapeutic Approach

Let's be real: life can be hard. Sometimes our path is clear. Other times, it may feel like we are lost in the woods, uncertain about how to move forward.  Sometimes we need a bit of help to find our way through. My approach to therapy is quite simple: I am with you wherever you are and will walk alongside you as you move towards where you want to be.

While each of us is on our own journey, I believe that we all share a few fundamental human longings in common: the desire for authentic connection with ourselves and with others, physical and emotional health and wellness, and a life of purpose and meaning.

Too often, these longings go unmet. We lose sight of who we are and the life we imagined can feel like sand running through our fingers as the days drift by. We live our lives feeling disconnected- from ourselves and from others. Past hurts and trauma can leave us feeling stuck and hopeless.

I am a licensed therapist and trauma-informed yoga teacher. I believe that lasting change and true healing is possible and occurs when all parts of the Self are integrated- the physical body, the cognitive mind, and our soul essence. My therapeutic approach is holistic and draws from a number of healing modalities.

As humans, we learn through experience. Based on your needs and preferences, I use a combination of talk therapy and experiential, "bottom-up" approaches to healing, including mindfulness, present-moment awareness, breathwork, felt-sensing, meditation and gentle embodiment/movement practices, all in the service of deepening your intuitive connection to Self and healing from the inside out.

It is my intention that our work together be rooted in safety and non-judgement. All parts of you are welcome. At times, it  may feel uncomfortable. Change is not easy. Therapy is a process and I encourage you to embrace it with compassion. I will show up as my human self- flaws and all. We are partners on your journey and return to wholeness.

Let's move through all that has gotten in the way of who you truly are, side by side. Let's dive in together and discover what emerges as you swim within the sea of possibility. What do you want to do with your one, precious life?
